BBL Basketball 2014 Review

It's been a great year!

I've really been enjoying working with Surrey United this season and as 2014 comes to a close, I thought it would be a good time to review the season so far. As far as the team goes, its been a tough season. United are currently propping up the BBL league table in 13th spot, they have 3 wins and 14 losses. There are however some positives, as someone who's seen a lot of the games this year, I can definitely see improvement, there have been some positive new additions to the squad and I do genuinely think there are brighter times on the horizon.

As far as the photography goes, its been great! I've really enjoyed combining my love of basketball with my photography work and I'm glad to say I've captured some great moments. The players and the fans have responded really well to my work too and a couple of weeks ago I started to sell some prints at games which have gone down really well. My photos have appeared in a lot of local papers and on Boxing Day I had the main image on the back page of the Surrey Advertiser (the first image below).

I'm really looking forward to the games heading into 2015, the season runs through until April and then there's the Playoff Final in May at the O2 arena which I hope to be covering too.

In the meantime, here's some of my favourite shots from the first part of the season!
