Canon 7D Mark ii - Initial Impressions and Mini Review

The Canon 7D has been my main camera for nearly three years. Despite it falling short in some areas, I've loved it, I believe it has some strengths that often get overlooked, the auto focus for example has been great for me.

When I heard the 7Dii was on the horizon, I couldn't help but pay attention. As I mention in the video below, I didn't rush in for a pre-order, I wanted to wait until I saw more hands on reviews from everyday users, not just the ones from the Canon reps, although I must confess, I did find Scott Kelby's review very interesting.

In the end, I made the purchase about 2-3 weeks ago and so far I'm happy with the camera. I won't go into too much detail here, I'll let you guys check out the video! Below I've posted some images that I've shot with the camera, I've included the iso data for those that are interested. I think the high iso performance is the question on everyone's lips, personally I find it much improved from the 7D.

1/1000 - f/2.8 - iso 6400

1/1000 - f/2.8 - iso 6400

1/800 sec - f/2.2 - iso 4000

1/2000 sec - f/2.5 - iso12800
